Goniometer

It is used as a navigational instrument.A goniometer is an instrument that either measures an angle or allows an object to be rotated to a precise angular position. The term goniometry is derived from two Greek words, gōnia, meaning angle, and metron, meaning measure. It is not strictly necessary to rotate the loop mechanically in order to find the null.Instead, two fixed loops may be placed at right angles to each other and their electrical outputs combined in goniometer. It has two fixed windings at right angles to each other, each set connected to one loop
